One pressure-packed elimination game down, ideally three more to go for the Russian men’s ice hockey team.

Russia dispatched Norway 4-0 in the qualification playoffs, but that’s child’s play compared to facing a Finnish team that some believe is a dark horse candidate for gold. More than that extra game, this represents Russia’s challenge in coming up a little bit short of expectations in group play. No doubt about it: Alex Ovechkin (pictured) and his teammates face a lot of pressure. Semyon Varlamov is another Russian to spotlight, as his start in net surprised some who expected Sergei Bobrovsky to go on Wednesday.

On Finland’s side, they have a solid mix of NHL players. The question is: will this be six-time Olympian Teemu Selanne’s last Olympic games?
